Flint’s V6 update introduces Sparky, your AI teaching assistant, Google Drive integration, live activity alerts, group-level learning goals, document hub, and more!
We’re excited to announce Flint V6! This update makes Flint more personalized, powerful, and teacher-friendly than ever.
From Sparky’s new memory to Google Drive integration, group-level goals, and live activity alerts, Flint V6 is packed with features to help you teach smarter and save time.
Here are some of the biggest updates covered in the video above:

Sparky is your AI teaching assistant who can help with everything from quick tasks like generating worksheets and adjusting reading levels to building interactive, personalized activities for your students.
Sparky also has great memory, remembering things like your subject area, grade level, teaching goals, classroom priorities, and student needs. You can always view or update Sparky’s memory anytime in Profile Settings → Sparky’s memory.

Just like you can set a mission and background for your whole workspace, you can now add learning goals for each student group. By setting group level learning goals, Sparky can provide even more targeted support, tailoring suggestions, activities, and feedback based on unique objectives.
We see this feature be especially helpful for differentiated instruction across classes and supporting varied learning outcomes within the same workspace.
You can set group learning goals anytime by heading to your Group Settings → Learning Goals.

You asked, we built! With Flint’s new Google Drive integration, you can now attach files directly from your Drive. No more downloading, uploading, or digging through folders. Plus, you can now also access and reuse your previously uploaded and created content in Flint.
To import files or reuse previous attachments, just click the attach icon in any chat or activity and you’re good to go!

When students are working in real time, it can be tough to catch everything…until now. With live activity alerts, Sparky flags messages that need your attention.
If a student is confused, off-track, or asks a question, you’ll see an instant alert in your activity session. This is especially helpful for immediate support during live work and quick, focused interventions for students in real time.

When you're creating an activity, you shouldn’t have to remember what you already told Sparky. With this update, Sparky now remembers your builder chats, so you can pick up right where you left off, even if you come back later.
This makes it easier to refine activities over time, make small updates, or just take a break and return when inspiration strikes.
🛠️ Smaller (but still mighty) changes
We’ve also rolled out a number of additional changes to make Flint smoother, faster, and more reliable for teachers, admins, and studnets:
Smarter chat names: Sparky will now auto-name your chats once it has enough context, helping you stay organized and find past conversations more easily.
All workspace settings in one place: A new “Workspace Settings” modal brings all your member and platform controls together for easier management.
One-click Edlink setup: Admins can now enable LMS/SIS integrations like Google Classroom or Canvas instantly.
