Teachers can now use Flint to create worksheets and lesson plans. Plus, students can now more easily use Flint for self-studying.
We’re excited to announce time savings tools for teachers in Flint! Plus, students can now use Flint to self-study, with strict guardrails in place to control the level of assistance that AI provides.

Flint now has built-in tools including:
Text-leveler
Worksheet generator
Lesson plan generator
Grading rubric generator
Paper/worksheet grader

Content created by using these tools (e.g. a generated worksheet) can be printed, exported to Google Drive, or downloaded as a Microsoft Word document.
These tools are available to teachers and admins only.

Flint now has built-in tools for study help, allowing students to:
Get quizzed on provided material
Have any topic explained
Get feedback on writing
Independently practice speaking a world language
Get research assistance
Get guidance with college applications
School administrators still have full visibility into all student use of AI on Flint. Plus, access for students includes strict guardrails to ensure that Flint can’t be used to cheat.
This update was heavily inspired by ideas shared by teachers and administrators at a recent campfire session — recording here.

We’ve introduced student, teacher, and administrator roles in Flint!
To ensure that your teachers have access to the newly-launched teacher tools, follow the steps in the guide here.
Plus, we’ve upgraded the large language model powering Flint from Claude 3.5 Sonnet to Claude 3.7 Sonnet.
We’ll be hosting a Campfire Session next week to cover these updates in-depth, answer questions, and to hear preliminary feedback! Details below:

We’ve also updated our tutorials and PD materials to reflect these changes! Check them out below:
