This update is all about giving teachers and admins more control, clarity, and convenience. Plus, an even sharper Sparky to power it all.
November’s here: ‘tis the season of grading marathons, report cards, and “wait, how is it almost winter break?” moments. We can’t help with your coffee supply (yet), but we can make your Flint experience smoother, smarter, and a lot more fun.
This month’s updates are all about giving you more control and clarity, from giving you finer moderation settings and better analytics to letting you duplicate activities in bulk and rely on Sparky’s ever-growing brain.
So grab that extra-large mug, take a deep breath, and let’s dive in ☕.

You can now customize which moderation categories trigger email notifications. Choose exactly what you want to be alerted about, from harassment, hate, and illicit content to sexual, violence, and self-harm flags, so your inbox stays focused on what matters most to your community.
This is based on feedback from admins who wanted fine-grained safety settings and more proactive responses when moderation is needed.

See what’s being taught, down to the detail.
Click into the pie chart breakdown (for example, “English”) to open a second-level view, showing how many activities are debates, grammar exercises, poetry analyses, writing prompts, reading-comprehension lessons, and more!

Copy once. Use everywhere. Teachers can now duplicate activities to multiple groups at once. This resolves the arduous and manual process of duplicating activities one-by-one for each group. Now it’s time to say goodbye to tedious copy-pasting across class sections!

Whenever a student session finishes analyzing, you’ll now receive an email notification so you don’t have to keep the tab open and play the waiting game. This is especially great when you are having a hectic day and just want to be notified, rather than having to jump into Flint every few minutes to check how your student’s are performing.

Sparky just got smarter. We’ve upgraded Flint’s core model from Sonnet 4 to 4.5, improving fluency, accuracy, and responsiveness across all chats and activity generation. Expect clearer explanations, faster responses, and an even more personalized AI experience for students.
