Discover Flint’s latest teacher-requested updates: full-screen attachments, iPad camera flip, and activity start dates for seamless classroom flow.
At Flint, our best ideas and improvements come straight from the classroom. This month’s improvements are no exception: each one was inspired by real needs that teachers shared with us. From assignment settings to full-screen documents and whiteboards, here’s what we have in store for October. 🎃

Lesson pacing matters. Teachers asked us for more control over when activities appear for students, and we listened! You can now set a start date for activities, making it easier to align assignment releases with lesson plans, ensuring students see material at the right time.
Here’s a step-by-step guide on how to add start dates and deadlines to activities.

Teachers told us that sometimes the work itself needs to take center stage. That’s why we added full-screen mode for attachments, such as whiteboards, documents, and even our code editor.
We made learning the star! Whether you’re debugging, writing essays, or sketching out diagrams, now you have your entire screen to focus. And when presenting, students can clearly see the math equation, passage, or block of code without distractions, no matter their seating arrangement.

You shouldn’t have to play a game of Twister just to take a perfect photo for an activity. Now, you can capture exactly what you need without moving around or breaking the flow of your lesson. Just press the button to flip flop from selfies to your surroundings.

Is Sparky freezing? Activities not saving? You can now check Flint’s status center to see if Flint is running smoothly or if there are any service interruptions. We wanted to provide such transparency so teachers and students to feel confident that Flint will be ready when class starts.
