Flint Inc (uk.flintk12.com and flintk12.com)
Flint Cookie Policy
UK
This policy covers two sites that Flint Inc runs:
- The Flint app at uk.flintk12.com, which UK schools, teachers and pupils use.
- The Flint website at flintk12.com, where you can read about Flint, book a demo and sign up.
The two sites set different cookies, and each has its own cookie banner. A choice you make on one site does not change your choices on the other. For each site, this policy lists every cookie, what it does, which company sets it and how long it lasts.
What cookies are
A cookie is a small file that a website saves in your browser. The website reads the cookie on later visits, for example to keep you signed in. Some websites also save similar data in your browser's local storage. This policy uses "cookies" for both, and the tables below list both.
A cookie that Flint sets is a first-party cookie. A cookie that another company sets, such as Google or YouTube, is a third-party cookie. That company can read its cookie on other websites too.
The Flint app (uk.flintk12.com)
How the app asks for your consent
The first time you open the app, a banner asks which cookies you allow. Until you choose, the app only sets the strictly necessary cookies listed below.
- Accept all allows every category.
- Reject all allows only strictly necessary cookies. The app works fully either way, except that the help chat does not load.
- Customize lets you switch each category on or off.
The app remembers your choice for one year, then asks again.
How to change your choices in the app
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time, as easily as you gave it.
- When you are signed in: open the account menu from your name at the bottom of the sidebar, then choose Cookie settings.
- When you are not signed in: select the cookie button in the bottom-left corner of the page.
Both open the banner again, with your current choices. When you switch a category off, the app stops setting those cookies. To remove cookies that are already saved, clear the cookies for uk.flintk12.com in your browser settings. Your browser's help pages explain how: Chrome, Edge, Firefox, Safari.
App: strictly necessary cookies

The Flint website (flintk12.com)
How the website asks for your consent
When you visit the website from the UK, a banner asks which cookies you allow. Until you choose, the website only sets the strictly necessary cookies listed below. Google's tag loads before you choose, but it sets no cookies and sends Google only basic visit signals without an ID for your browser. Our Ahrefs visitor counts use no cookies.
- Okay allows every category.
- Only essentials allows only strictly necessary cookies. The website works fully either way, except that the chat with our team does not load.
- Choose what to allow lets you switch each category on or off.
The website remembers your choice for six months, then asks again. We keep a record of each choice so we can show that you gave consent. The record holds a random ID, the categories you chose and the date. It does not hold your name, email address or IP address.
How to change your choices on the website
Select Your privacy choices at the bottom of any page on flintk12.com. It opens your current choices, and you can switch any category on or off. When you switch a category off, the website reloads the page without those tools and deletes most of the cookies they saved on flintk12.com. Cookies set by other companies on their own domains, such as linkedin.com, stay until they expire or you clear them in your browser settings.
