Built for humanities in England's schools
Flint's curriculum presets include the National Curriculum programmes of study for history and geography at Key Stages 1 and 2 and Key Stage 3, citizenship at Key Stages 3 and 4, and the DfE's GCSE subject content for history, geography, religious studies, citizenship, ancient history and classical civilisation. RE at Key Stage 3 follows your locally agreed syllabus, so upload it and Sparky will work from that instead.
In history, pupils can put questions to a figure from a period on your scheme of work and then test what they heard against the sources you uploaded, which is the same skill a GCSE source question asks for. A Year 9 class studying the First World War could interview a journalist on the Western Front; a Year 10 class revising the Cold War could advise Kennedy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. In geography, Sparky can take pupils through a case study on coastal erosion or urban change and question their use of data. In RE, pupils can debate an ethical question with Sparky arguing a position they have to answer.
