AI email writer
Tell Sparky who the email is for and what it's about, in one line. Sparky writes the email with a subject line, then rewrites it when you add the details or ask for another tone.

How the email writer works
Say who it's for and what it's about
Type one line, such as "email families about Friday's museum trip", or paste an email you need to answer. Add any details you already know.
Fill in what's missing
Sparky writes the email with a subject line and puts brackets where it needs a detail. Reply with the details, or ask for "shorter" or "warmer", and Sparky rewrites it.
Copy it into your email
Press the copy button under Sparky's message and paste the email into Gmail, Outlook or your school's messaging app. Sparky never sends anything for you.
What you can ask for in an email
A subject line and a next step
Each draft starts with a subject line. When the reader has something to do, such as return a form by Wednesday, the email says so plainly.
Any tone
Ask for warmer, firmer, more formal or shorter. Sparky rewrites the whole email in that tone and keeps the facts.
Replies and rewrites
Paste an email from a parent or a colleague and say what you want to tell them. Or paste your own draft and ask Sparky to make it clearer.
Families who read another language
Ask for the same email in Spanish or another language your families read. Sparky writes the second version with the same dates and costs.
Brackets instead of guesses
When Sparky doesn't know a name, a date or a cost, it writes a bracket such as [Your Name], so you can see what to fill in.
Emails to colleagues and your principal
A request to your principal, a note to your grade-level team or a reply to a meeting invitation, in the voice you'd use with a colleague.

Frequently asked questions
Is the AI email writer free?
Yes, it's free for teachers, and there's no limit on how many emails you can write.
Can Flint send the email for me?
No. Sparky writes the email in the chat. Press the copy button under Sparky's message, paste the email into Gmail, Outlook or your school's messaging app, and send it from your own account.
Will Sparky make up details about my students?
Sparky is told not to invent names, events or promises, and it leaves brackets such as [Your Name] for what you haven't told it. Read every draft before you send it and correct anything that isn't right.
Can it write emails to families?
Yes. Describe what happened in a sentence or two, such as missing homework or a great week, and Sparky writes a calm, specific email with a next step for the family. Flint also has an Email Family Generator with its own instructions for family emails.
Can it write a thank-you note?
Yes. Say who you're thanking and what they did, and Sparky writes a note that names it. Flint's Thank You Note Generator starts by asking what the person did, so the note doesn't read like a template.
Can it make a parent-teacher conference template?
Yes. Ask for a conference form and Sparky makes a document with the student's details, strengths, areas to work on, goals, follow-up steps and signature lines. Print one for each student, or save it to Google Docs or Word. Sparky can also write the sign-up email and the summary you send after the meeting.
Can it make a parent contact log?
Yes. Sparky makes a spreadsheet with columns for the date, the student, the parent or guardian, how you reached them, who reached out, what you discussed and the follow-up date. Ask for other columns if you need them, and download it as an Excel or CSV file.
