Blank board game
A 36-space board from START to FINISH, rules for 2 to 4 players, a table for your special spaces and 24 blank question cards.
Question cards and answer key
24 cards to write questions on and cut apart, and an answer key with a line for each card. Use them with the board or any game.
What's on the board game template
A 36-space board
Six rows of six numbered spaces that wind from START in the top left to FINISH. Each space has room to write a question or a direction.
Special spaces
A table for spaces like "Roll again", "Go back 1" or "Lose a turn". Write the space's number and what happens.
Rules for 2 to 4 players
Roll, draw a card and answer it. A right answer moves you forward the number you rolled, and a wrong one keeps you where you are.
24 question cards
Four across and six down, with dashed lines to cut along. Write one question on each.
An answer key
The card set has a key with a line for each card's answer, so a student can check answers without seeing the cards.
A die and coins
Players need one die and a coin or counter each. Nothing else to buy.

What teachers say about Flint
"I have used Flint as a differentiated tool to help with different levels of math skills in my classroom. These activities really helped them come up to the standard of what we are working on right now. This was super helpful."

Lakshmi Saravanan
Math Teacher at American International School Chennai
"One student used Flint to make a unit test study guide. Another checked homework by comparing their steps to AI solutions, identifying and correcting mistakes on their own. This independence and self-awareness are key signs of deeper learning."

Chaz Cleare
Middle School Math Teacher at The Kinkaid School
"I used Flint to review a chapter prior to an assessment. The students could translate the terms into their native language to learn the content better. Flint was also able adapt and put together questions suitable for the students' ability."

Frequently asked questions
Is the board game template free?
Yes. Both Word templates are free to download, and Flint is free for teachers.
How do I make my own board game for class?
Print the blank board, write a question or a direction in some of the spaces, and write questions on the cards. Players roll a die, answer a card and move. Or ask Sparky for a board game on your topic, and it fills in the board, the cards and an answer key for you.
Can I edit the template in Google Docs?
Yes. Upload the Word file to Google Drive and open it with Google Docs. A board game Sparky makes has its own Open in Google Docs button, next to the Word download.
What does Sparky make when I ask for a board game?
Ask for a printable board game and Sparky writes a document: a numbered board from START to FINISH with special spaces, rules, question cards to cut apart and an answer key. Ask for one to project and Sparky builds a game on screen instead, with dice, team tokens and questions that pop up.
Can the board game have pictures?
Yes. When we asked for a multiplication board game, Sparky gave it a jungle theme and drew a picture for the top of the document. The board itself is a table of numbered spaces. Ask for a different theme or picture and Sparky changes it.
Can I change the game after Sparky makes it?
Yes. Ask for different questions or a focus on certain facts, and Sparky updates the same document. Download it as Word or open it in Google Docs to edit it yourself.
